Extended warranties are not for everyone, despite what traditional car
dealers will tell you.
If you plan on driving your new car for 2 or 3 years, it doesn't make much
sense to pay for a warranty that covers you for 7 years. If you are going
to be driving the car for 4-7 years, then an extended warranty is a smart
move.
One-price dealers are able to offer the best warranty packages in the
automobile industry, and they can clearly define the cost and
terms of that warranty during your purchase. They can assist you in finding
the right warranty program to suit your specific needs.
Some options to consider...
A bumper-to-bumper warranty is one of the best options in today's car
market. Most of the parts on today's vehicles are replaced, not
repaired. A warranty offering total part replacement could save you thousands
of dollars.
Some warranties include special options like free replacement vehicles, free
towing and roadside assistance. Also, if your warranty is transferable, it
will increase the car's resale value and could eliminate liability if you
decide to sell the car privately at a later date.
Warning - don't purchase a warranty from an online company. They may
be out of business when you need them most!
If you are considering a warranty, buy it from the same dealer who sold
you your car. Having a car in the garage is stressful enough, you don't
need the extra hassle of dealing with an internet warranty company when you need to
get back on the road. |
